The Firefly Diner is a down-to-earth spot where the casual vibe is heightened by the mouth-watering meals of Chef Beth Cavanagh. Located on scenic Rte. 1, just past the outlets, our menu features American comfort food with a Southern flair.

This diner is home to year round regulars, and many would insist you try some of their favorites like the mini pot roast, fresh salads with grilled chicken, handmade bread or homemade grits. We are definitely known for our amazing omelets. They are pan fried, making them fluffier than your average omelet, and use fresh sautéed vegetables. You’re lucky if you come in on day that the special is our delicious mac and cheese, served with or without shrimp and bacon. Whatever your tastes, you can always expect exciting and inventive fare, inspired by Cavanagh family recipes.

Cavanagh is committed to supporting local farmers and purveyors, and uses the season's bounty to drive the ever-evolving menus. Local meats from eco-friendly purveyors are featured in the house-made sausages. Local farmers add to the homemade jams, preserves and gravies. Sustainability is top of mind when selecting seafood, all of which are compliant with Maine’s Seafood Watch list.
